About Karunamayee

We are Light in Dark Place

The name Karunamayee signifies the “Encapsulation of Compassion.”  Established in 2010, Karunamayee is a non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO) established by the Karunamai Foundation Trust for Exceptional Persons. The organization is dedicated to the welfare, development, and empowerment of children and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Government of Karnataka State Award – 2024–25

In recognition of its exceptional and dedicated services to persons with disabilities, Karunamai Foundation was honoured by the Government of Karnataka with the prestigious State Award in the Best Institution category for 2024–25, on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The award recognizes the Foundation’s commitment to empowering persons with special needs and promoting an inclusive society.
